- The base slab was made and left in the air; round cut made with the slab in a leather state.
- In the leather state, the slab was beveled on the sides at a 45° angle (bevel cutter clay) to help the gluing fit.

Decoration :
- In leather condition, application of underglaze decals (illustrations of Conrad Gessner's animals) printed using the silkscreen process.
- After bisqued, glazing with transparent glaze and firing at 1000°C.
